The Children's Academy was established in 1981 by Susan Weller, a career educator with over 20 years of experience. Dedicated to the philosophy of Maria Montessori, the Academy's academic goals are to work with the whole child. The children are encouraged by our nurturing staff to reach their own individual potential using their unique gifts.
The Academy employs 8 highly qualified Montessori trained teachers, a French teacher, and a music teacher.
We encourage parental involvement. Children's Academy is proud of our Parents Association, which works closely with our teachers to make your child's academy experience an enlightening and enriching one.
Since 1981, the Children's Academy has grown from a student body of 35 to its present enrollment of 120 students.
The Academy has 3 separate classrooms. The Little Room was developed for pre-primary children, ages 2 1/2 to 3. The Transitional Room is a smaller environment for 3 and 4 year olds. The Big Room serves the needs of children 3 to 6 1/2.

You can order items from Innisbrook throughout the year. Just click on the link below to go to the Innisbrook site. Go to Shop the Innisbrook Store (box on the right), and enter our school number 111074. Students will not receive prize credits at this time, so just click “Click here if you do not want to assign credit”.

After school care from 3pm to 5pm - same day arrangements can be accommodated
Valet Service
- Please line up to the right of the driveway, leaving room on the left for cars to enter the parking lot.
- Be patient and courteous.
- Remember to stay in line until the teacher takes your child from the car.
- Should it be necessary, park and walk your child into the school.
- Remember, separation is easier from the car. Help keep our hallways clear and silent.
- Peak in a window to calm your butterflies!
